GLITCH-ISH
As a child of the 80s, I used to relish those trips to the video rental spot. We would rent three tapes a week, and I got to choose one of them. It was a huge responsibility for me, as I alone was responsible to 1⁄3 of that week’s entertainment. While most kids would’ve been drawn to Disney vault stuff, I immediately went to the horror section. I loved the illustrations of decaying zombie people, throat ripping vampires, and lycanthropic annihilators. Those movies had a huge affect on my development as a person and as an artist/designer.

I love CRT and glitch stuff because I guess it harkens back to childhood, watching fuzzy videos on our big-ass box television together as a family. I also appreciate my parents never telling me “No,” when I wanted to rent some random horror/action movie w/ uber violence and gore. I think the only time they vetoed my movie pick was Lost Boys for some weird reason. I eventually got to watch it on cable some time later and it became one of my favorite movies.
